Tale of Two DevourersThe Girl was little and wretched. Just like everybody in the town. Poor, dirty, sore. Her little room was filled by books. Little handbooks and enormous tomes were all over the floor, plugging holes in her walls, serving as “windows” that she could open and close at her will, serving as pillows, tables and chairs. The Man was wretched too. His house was full of books as well. They stood in huge bookcases up to reach the infinitely high ceiling. The little money he had went on them, and his house, empty of anything else, was full with volumes. He was poor. And sore as well. "Welcome back." she said. "What's happening?" he asked. "I'm still knitting information together, here and there." "I see. Are you ready?" They smiled in unison. The two mages raised their hands, their magestic robes caressing the floor. With one gesture, the broken city was rebuilt.
